Masonboro Baptist Church is more than an institution, we're a family — the saints who have shaped this church for decades serving alongside the next generation who will form it for decades to come. We're held together by wholehearted discipleship to Jesus and the genuine relationships we've built around following him.
We know each other here. We love each other. We care for each other. And we care for our neighbors too, through missions that serve the least of these in our community and all over the world.
Our teaching is anchored in God's word — we dig into the historical context of Scripture and trust that understanding it more deeply leads to living it more faithfully in our time and place. We're all on that journey here, and we'd love for you to join us. There's a place for you in this family.
Membership is how you say “this is my church.” It's a public declaration that you belong here and that we belong to each other. Masonboro Baptist Church is a congregation-led church, which means the members make the important decisions together — about leadership, about direction, about our life as a community. As a member you have a real vote and a real voice in shaping what this church becomes. And you have a community committed to walking with you.
How to JoinJoining Masonboro is simple. We ask that you have been baptized — we welcome members from all Christian traditions and don't require a particular mode of baptism. If you haven't been baptized yet, we'd love to make that happen — just talk to Pastor Wes. When you're ready to join, fill out a connection card or let Pastor Wes know directly. We'll introduce you to the congregation at an upcoming Sunday service where the church will welcome you with one voice. |
