Follow Jesus

God created people to be in perfect relationship with Himself and with one another; however, we often resist God’s intention for our lives. A gap results between who we are and who we were meant to be, separating us from one another and ultimately from God. We are incapable of closing that gap on our own. God isn’t willing to lose His relationship with His beloved creation so He chose to dwell among us as a man named Jesus.

Jesus showed us through his teaching and example how we should relate to God and to one another. He ultimately demonstrated God’s extreme love for us all by willingly suffering and dying at the hands of people, whom he had come to rescue. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, God filled in the gap in an act of redemption and then conquered death, our greatest enemy, restoring life to His creation. We are called to respond to Him by believing in Him, surrendering every aspect of our lives to Him, and sharing His love with others. His promise to us is this,

“Everyone who drinks water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”(John 4:13-14 NIV)
