OUR MISSION STATEMENT
“We are led by God to minister to families in our church and community as we care for, nurture, and instruct children in a Christian and loving environment.”



HISTORY
In 1985, several people at Masonboro Baptist Church saw a need for some type of Christian child care in our community.  From this vision, Masonboro Baptist's "Mother's Morning Out" was established.  We were open two days a week, with a total of 12 children and 2 teachers.  From this small group of children, we expanded step by step until we were a full preschool open 5 days a week from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m..  



In 1989, several of our parents expressed interest in needing full-time Christian care for their children. So in August of 1990, we opened our doors from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. As we continued to grow, an After School Program was added in 1997 to serve the local community’s elementary school children.

We now are called Noah's Ark Children's Center. 

We have an average of about 125 children each year.  In the Spring of 1997, we were one of only four centers in New Hanover County to be selected by the Child Advocacy Commission to participate in a new Quality Enhancement Program for our area.  As a result of this joint partnership, Noah’s Ark received an AA license.  In June, 2006, Noah’s Ark completed the process for the N. C. Star-Rated License and received 5 Stars out of a possible 5 Stars, which means we will continue to be recognized for the superior center we have always had.  With God’s help, we feel that our dream of touching the lives of children in a Christian environment has become a reality.

• 

INFANT - 6 weeks to 15 months
• TODDLERS - 15 months to 2 years
• TWOS - 2 years to 3 years
• THREES - 3 years to 4 years
• PRE-KINDERGARTEN - 4 years to 5 years
• KINDERGARTEN - 5 years to 6 years
• AFTER SCHOOLERS - 5 years to 12 years



Class determination will be based on the same standard 
used by the New Hanover County Schools: child’s age by 
August 31 of the current school year except for 
Kindergarten - child must be five by October 15.



EXTRACURRICULAR  ACTIVITIES



• REGULAR FIELD TRIPS to coincide with units of study in each class on an age-appropriate basis.
• 

LE PETITE DANCE offered weekly for Three, Four, and Five Year Olds for an additional fee.


• HALO HOOPS offered bi-monthly for an additional fee.


• SWIM LESSONS coordinated with UNCW each summer for an additional fee.


• GYM SCHEDULE available for all classes and for inclement weather.
• 

SPANISH ACADEMY SPANISH LESSONS offered weekly for Three, Four, and Five Year Olds for an additional fee.


• MUSIC CLASS weekly with Ms. Emma Mahn - included in tuition

DAY CARE RATES (MONTHLY):
Nursery Area (6 wks - 2 yrs) - $775.00 per month

Twos - $735.00 per month 
Threes - $705.00 per month

Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten - $705.00 per month

PRE-SCHOOL RATES:
 ages 3 & 4
Five days per week (9-1) - $225.00 per month

Three days per week  (9-1) - $185.00 per month

Two days per week(9-1) - $155.00 per month



PRE-KINDERGARTEN RATES:
 ages 4 & 5
Five days per week (9-1) - $245.00 per month

Three days per week  (9-1) - $195.00 per month

Two days per week(9-1) - $160.00 per month



KINDERGARTEN RATES (age 5 by Oct. 15th):
Five days per week (full day) - $705.00 per month
Morning Only (Sept.-May 8-1) -$295.00 per month



AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM:
 grades K - 5
School year rate (Sept.-May) - $330.00 per month

Summer Rate - $600.00 per month (plus $10/weekly field trips)
