We believe God has called us to be God's presence in the world. We know that we are most like Christ when we are loving and serving others- especially those in need. That's why we join with a variety of local, state, national, and global partners to make a real difference in our world. Click on the logos below to learn more about some of the local organizations with whom Masonboro Baptist Church collaborates.
| Habitat for Humanity

| NourishNC
Young people in our county are undernourished because they do not receive adequate meals at home on the weekends and in the summer. Nourish NC provides local children with backpacks of food items they carry home from school. We collect food items for this important community service agency and also are involved with the distribution of food through Nourish NC.
| Good Shepherd Center
The Good Shepherd Center provides temporary housing, emergency food, and other services to homeless persons in our community. We support their work with contributions of donated items as well as funding. Additionally, volunteers from our congregation regularly serve meals at the soup kitchen.
| Wilmington Interfaith Hospitality Network
Homeless families are assisted with basic needs and temporary shelter through WIHN. The organization houses clients in local churches and helps them obtain jobs and permanent housing. We host families in our church four times a year, providing them with safe shelter, meals, and positive interaction with our volunteers.
| First Fruit Ministries
First Fruits seeks to nurture those in need in order that they may accomplish their calling, mature in their faith, develop sustainable living habits and progress toward their fullest potential. We participate with First Fruit by collecting coats and Christmas gifts, providing mentors and volunteers, and making financial contributions.

For several years, our church has partnered with Pastor Shern of Zambia to support his indigenous ministry to the poor. Pastor Shern and his wife, Tabitha operate a home for abandoned children. A new facility for the Docesk Children's Home is currently under construction and will provide housing for about 70 orphaned or abandoned children. Most importantly, Pastor Shern's ministry shares the love of Christ and the good news of the Gospel with people who have never experienced the love of God before.
| Each year we participate in the collection of shoeboxes filled with small gifts and treats for children around the world. These Christmas shoeboxes are distributed by Samaritan's Purse to those in need who have been affected by war, natural disaster, poverty, and oppression. The distribution of shoebox gifts provides an opportunity for many people around the globe to hear the good news of Jesus Christ!
