In November during Sunday School and Wednesday Night Celebration, we discussed the meaning of the word “LOVE”. What a perfect topic to study as we approach the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Christ is the gift that God gave to express His everlasting and unconditional love for us. What God asks of us is to have faith in that love. When Christ talks about faith, He desires for us to trust wholeheartedly that God loves us. All believers have come to faith in Christ because He gave His disciples the opportunity to follow Him. Then, He simply asked them to pass on what they received. Now, through us, God is ready to pass His love on to others, just as others passed His love on to us. The question is, “Will it stop with us?” A better question is, will we actively participate in passing Christ’s love on to others. I hope that the love that is within us has no choice but to overflow into the lives of all we encounter.
Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE who helped with the Fair. The Fair takes a tremendous amount of effort from the youth, youth parents and the congregation. So, THANK YOU for all you do for our youth.
The Pancake Breakfast was a success. In case you didn’t already know, we have some pretty good cooks at Masonboro. In fact, according to our guests the food and service was fantastic. Thanks for your support.
We are planning to have a Holiday Party, but due to numerous scheduling conflicts it has been difficult to pick a date. Hopefully, I will have a date chosen by December 1st. Check your email for information.
The Ski Trip is approaching quickly. There are ski brochures outside my office. The first payment of $115 is due November 30th and the next payment of $115 is due December 31st. The last payment is due by Wednesday, January 14th. I will notify those going on the ski trip by December 5th with the amount of money (from the Fair and Pancake Breakfast) you have on your account. A Ski Trip meeting for youth and parents has been scheduled for Sunday, January 4th at 4:30 pm in the AC Foyer.
